So the sealant,desiccant and spacer directly affect the quality of IGU.
The bonding situation with glass and Moisture Transmittance, elastic modulus, elastic recovery rate are factors
that judge the quality of sealant.
However, the aging resistance of PIB is bad, it is easily to be influence by the external environment to aging.
So the IGU needs the secondary seal to protect.
Besides the Low Moisture Transmittance,the external sealant also need to have high elastic modulus and the elastic
recovery rate and good bonding performance, to ensure the edge enough resistance to tensile and shear strength to
bear by IGU bearing all the load.
Interval spacer as a rigid frame, it is effectively separated glass forming hollow cavity, support, and improve the sealing ability
of sealant,improve the performance of insulating glass.
Normal spacer includes metal spacer,composite spacer, hybrid spacer and super spacer.
Metal Spacer include the steel spacer and aluminum spacer.
The Aluminum coefficient of thermal expansion [23.6 cm/（cm·℃）×10-6] and the steel is [15.7 cm/（cm·℃）×10-6]. But aluminum spacer with a lightweight,low cost,easy to be producted and bended, it has a wider market.
Changes of temperature will cause the changes of stress in the hollow cavity, which can lead to bending deformation of the glass.
The desiccant's Adsorptionand desorption of air further intensify the deflection deformation. In the process of temperature down/up, 13X molecular sieve's adsorption/desorption of air is the most powerful. The 4A molecular sieve takes second place.But the 3A molecular sieve almost has no adsorption capacity to air.
So 3A molecular sieve becomes the best choice for IGU desiccant materials.
